this year the action "forest Week" was held for the 11th time. The event is traditionally attended by representatives of business, public organizations, sports associations, schools, etc.in addition, the voluntary action is widely supported by the heads of various ministries and departments, regulatory bodies, deputies.

everyone could Take part in the action. It was enough to apply to the nearest forestry or forestry, where volunteers were given the necessary equipment and planting material. Forestry institutions of the country organized work at 2,833 sites. In addition to planting forests, citizens of our country have also been able to participate in the cleaning of debris and clutter, landscaping places of mass recreation. During the campaign, 221 objects were prepared for the spring-summer season.

this year the last day of the action "forest Week" coincided with the national clean-up. During the working week 52 063 Belarusians joined the campaign, 31 249 forestry specialists took up planting and cleaning of garbage on the final day of the event in the forest Fund. Thus, the total number of participants in the reforestation and restoration of order was 83 312 people. It should be noted that the final day of the action was also supported by the leadership of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the state control Committee, the state Secretariat of the Security Council, the Ministry of information, the Ministry of foreign Affairs and other departments.

< p>Recall, "forest Week-2018" was timed to coincide with the year of the small homeland and is dedicated to the restoration of forests damaged by the mass spread of insect pests in 2017. The main purpose of the event was to attract public attention to the problems of the forest Fund, to promote respect for one of the main natural resources of the country, to strengthen the environmental, economic and social role of forests.
